FREEDOM. DIVERSITY. PROSPERITY.
In this election, you have three choices; only one of them is for smaller government, lower taxes and respecting the Constitution. I am not a career politician. I am not a lawyer like both my opponents and more that half of Congress.
I grew up in a suburb of Dallas, moved to Austin in 1997 and attended the University of Texas. Eleven years later, I still love central Texas and am happily married to a firecracker of a woman named Jax. She is a waitress and an artist; I am a finish trim carpenter. I am self-employed and I pay over 15% of everything I earn directly to social security, that amounts to over an hour of every working day. My wife and I have health insurance, but we can only afford a plan with catastrophe coverage. Like millions of other Americans, my wife and I do not feel secure about our financial future or our retirement, even though we are a dual--income family.
I strongly disagree with the financial direction our leaders are taking us and I am very concerned with what our government has done to civil liberties in recent years.
I am what a Representative is supposed to be and I am running for United States Congress in Texas District 10.
Legislative Priorities
- Drastically reduce taxes for low income, middle income, small business and the self employed
- Reduce spending and balance the budget
- Dramatically cut overseas military spending
- Streamline the educational system and allow for more local decisions
- Allow for more options in social security
- Address the healthcare crisis in this country by listening to doctors, patients and other healthcare providers
- Stop eminent domain abuse
- Oppose government regulation of the internet
- Implement a substitute for the income tax
- Addressing growing environmental problems by making people, businesses and most importantly the government criminally and financially responsible for their environmental impact
Each one of us can make a powerful and important statement about the America we want and the kind of people we want representing us.
